Habitat for Humanity of Stokes County
Affordable Mortgage

Your impact is widespread

A Habitat home is a strong foundation to build a better life. More than 20 families have a place to call home in this community thanks to you. You make an impact. Habitat homes are affordable because of the generous financial support from our donors and the dedicated volunteer labor, both offered in partnership with us for solutions in affordable homeownership. You are a difference maker.

The home you are building is so well built, less than one-third of the energy goes toward heating and cooling, saving homeowners $25,000 in electricity cost over the life of a 25-year mortgage. You do quality work to build quality homes.

On the date that you volunteer, you will need to complete this Volunteer Release Form to bring with you. If you would like, you can complete the form prior to volunteering and email it to construction@stokeshabitat.com. If you are under 18, completion of the last page of the Volunteer Release Form is also required.

Help us to build homes

Habitat construction days are Monday through Saturday. The time depends on the weather and what construction is required. No construction experience is required, and Habitat provides all the necessary tools. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, wear closed-toe shoes, and come dressed and ready to work.

Construction Volunteer: Habitat welcomes group and individual volunteers who want to work in support of affordable homeownership in our community. Working on the build site with your organization is a great team building experience, promotes camaraderie, and has many positive benefits. Construction experience is not required. To be added to our Habitat construction volunteer email list, call our office at 336-985-3211 ext 101.
